The Ridge Company’s were started in 1945 by Edwin & Evert Ridge.
The first shop started in Southbend Indiana and later shops were started in Grand Rapids Michigan and Toledo Ohio. The company’s first name was Ridge Piston and specialized in servicing piston and connecting rod assembly’s. In later years the shops became a full service machine shop and also sold automotive parts and accessories. The Toledo Ohio shop was located in downtown Toledo and an auto parts store was located in Uptown Maumee and was owned by Edwin Ridge and his son Tom Ridge. Eventually the shop and auto parts store combined in our location now at 1236 Conant St. in Maumee Ohio.
The Ridge Company is now Ridge Engine Machine & Repair and owned by David H Scott and Steven Eisenbrandt. David has 44 years in the Automotive and Machinist field working at several Dealers including GM, Honda and Toyota. David is an ASE Certified Master Tech of 22 years and specialized in Engine, Drivetrain, Transmission and Drive Axles and is GM certified.
Steven is a graduate of Owens Community College, studying in the Machinist field and is ASE Certified of 25 years. Steven worked in the Automotive field for 3 years until employment at Ridge Co. where he has been employed for 23 years.
